The HSLTA was formed in 1984. Our purpose is to provide a competitive structure for school children in Hertfordshire and to provide opportunities for teachers to gain the LTA Teachers Certificate and improve their tennis teaching skills by having regular teacher training courses.

The Committee meets on a regular basis (4 or 5 times a year) in order to attend to the administration of these events and the BSTA Tournaments. The Committee is made up of practising teachers representing the districts of Hertfordshire, Herts LTA CDO and representatives of the HLTA and the Herts Education Authority.

We are represented on the British Schools Association and the Lawn Tennis Association.
